Aims & Objectives

Aims:

The aim of CROW is to conserve biological resources in India in participation of the people. Catalyse action by the government and by people in general for conservation of wildlife and its habitat. Support research programmes, field action projects, and other activities that encourage proactive action for conservation of natural resources. Produce and disseminate public awareness material and communication strategies that will promote the main objectives of the trust.

Objectives:

Our main objective is to emphasize people’s responsibility and rights over forest and natural resources and their conservation and management. We also emphasize and demonstrate through studies, research and specific field initiatives ensuring conservation and regeneration of natural resources for healthy environment. We collaborate with other institutions such as – Academic, Research, Government, Non Governmental, Community based organizations and Consultancy agencies both National and International in undertaking studies, implementation of projects, sharing of information etc. We initiate, support & undertake conservation activities through various innovative programs there by enhance the public's (villagers, schools and other people) sense of responsibility for the environment.


CROW thinks that nature protection starts with good and honest information and co-operation with the locals. CROW also thinks that its programs are encouraging , result oriented and that gradually a change of mentality has been acquired among the local communities residing in vicinity of the concerned places. We  tries to produce and disseminate public awareness material and communication strategies that will promote the main objectives of the Trust.
